Job Description :

The Analytics & Trading Product Development group is responsible for defining and creating products that Portfolio Managers and Traders heavily rely on throughout the trading day.  The FactSet tools the A&T group is responsible for include both the Workstation and Web versions of Portfolio View, Market Watch, Time & Sales, Depth Quote, Net House Summary, and the Portfolio Management Platform,

The A&T PD group is seeking a highly motivated individual interested in becoming an expert in the product development process, specifically focused on the tools used by Portfolio Managers and Traders during the trading day.  The Product Specialist will work closely with Engineering, Quality Assurance, Product Development, Design, Sales, Consulting, Strategy, and clients to ensure that product offerings serve our clients’ needs and become ingrained in their workflow process.

Responsibilities :

• Have a clear understanding of the clients’ needs and workflows
• Help team in answering questions related to Portfolio view, Market Watch, Depth Quote, Time and Sales, Net House Summaries etc.
• Support Portfolio view, Market Watch, Depth Quote, Time and Sales, Net House Summaries application’s by answering questions, troubleshooting bugs, and work on enhancement requests, change requests.
• Identify and respond to client demand for new initiatives and enhancements to analytics solutions
• Develop requirements’ specifications from business requirements and help engineering/QA to understand the same.
• Work with engineers to fix bugs, test enhancements, and manage releases and client migrations
• Work with Knowledge Management team to help write documentation as well as internal and external client communications
• Actively manage and share ideas to improve work processes and output

Required Qualifications and skills :  

• Undergraduate (Bachelor’s) degree in Math/ Engineering/ Finance or related field
•  MBA Finance or Master’s degree in some combination Mathematics/ Finance/Computer science
• 2-8 years of experience dealing with portfolio at both conceptual and application level
• Articulate communicator, with excellent language skills – both oral and written
• Has good understanding of financial clients’ needs and workflows

• Liaise effectively (both written and oral) with engineers and data providers
• Ability to work independently and within a group
• Interest in learning modern technologies/knowledge
• Basic understanding of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) & PDLC (Product Development Life Cycle)
• Prominent level of motivation
• Proficiency with Excel

Preferred Skills/qualifications/certification :

• Technical skills: SQL
• Prior experience with FACTSET platform
